Dr. Chantal Mayer-Crittenden

Dr. Chantal Mayer-Crittenden is an experienced speech and language pathologist specializing in bilingualism and language disorders, including developmental language disorder. 

In 2013, Dr. Mayer-Crittenden obtained a PhD in Communication and Cognition from Laurentian University, after completing a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Laurentian University. Throughout this time, she also studied interdisciplinary work in the field of communication sciences and disorders.
 
Dr. Mayer-Crittenden has presented at both the national and international levels on the topics of minority language learners and developmental language disorder. Her current research focuses on the linguistic competencies in both monolingual and bilingual (French and English) children living in a linguistic minority context.
