Dr. Diana Urajnik
Diana Urajnik is an Assistant Professor and Theme Chair in Social and Population Health at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). She is part-time faculty in the Department of Psychology and an Adjunct Professor at Laurentian University (School of Rural and Northern Health, School of Human Kinetics). Dr. Urajnik completed her PhD in Community Health, Health and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Toronto. Her training is in children’s mental health, health service use, health theory, child development, and program evaluation.
Dr. Urajnik’s research focuses on service decision-making, health behaviour change, familial retention in care, child resilience and functioning, and school health. Recently, she was involved in research that examines the health of kindergarten children, alcohol-related behaviours of post-secondary students, and quality of life in boys and young men with hemophilia. She is currently providing direction for an evaluation of a child/youth resiliency framework for Public Health Sudbury & Districts.
