Dr. Rich Janzen (Waterloo, Ontario). Keynote information: Dr. Janzen has over 20 years of experience conducting CBPR projects with community partners. He is currently the research director at The Centre for Community Based Research and an adjunct assistant professor at Renison University College at the University of Waterloo. Focus of Keynote: Understanding how to make community-based participatory research (CBPR) work. |
Event objectives
To share knowledge about how to inspire and aid organizations, community-based agencies, researchers & governments to see research as a tool for social innovation and positive change. Also, to find new ways of bringing people who are on the margins of society to live within the community as full and equal members. In sum, this event was about acquiring knowledge about using community-based research in order to provide real and innovative solutions for community needs.
