Dr. Roxanne Bélanger
Dr. Roxanne Bélanger is an Assistant Professor in the School of Speech-Language Pathology (Orthophonie) at Laurentian University. In 2002, she received a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa. In 2013, she obtained a PhD in Human Studies at Laurentian University, where she studied the neurodevelopmental outcomes of premature infants in Greater Sudbury.
Dr. Bélanger is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist with clinical experience in neonatology and pediatrics. Throughout her career, she has worked on interdisciplinary teams, working with both preschool and school-aged children experiencing speech and language disorders.
Dr. Bélanger’s research focuses on the development of language, attention and executive functioning in children born at risk for delays. She has also studied the active offer of francophone allied health care services in Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC), specifically those found in northern Ontario.
